Chicago Fire FC is now one of the youngest teams in Major League Soccer

This might make Jonathan Bornstein and Kenneth Kronholm feel like senior citizens, but the Chicago Fire are definitely in the middle of youth movement.

With the addition of Carlos Terán, 20, the Fire are now the sixth-youngest team in Major League Soccer, according to stats kept by the league. Take a look:

  1. Los Angeles FC 24.232
  • MLS Average 26.027

The Fire now have 12 players 21 years old or younger, and only five players aged 30 or older: CJ Sapong (31), Jonathan Bornstein (35), Kenneth Kronholm (35), Bobby Shuttleworth (33), and MIcheal Azira (33).
