CHICAGO (Nov. 21, 2019) – Chicago Fire FC announced today that it has exercised the 2020 contract options on forward CJ Sapong and defender/midfielder Raheem Edwards.
Additionally, the Club announced that it has declined contract options on the following players: Diego Campos, Stefan Cleveland, Elliott Collier, Nicolás Gaitán, Aleksandar Katai, Cristian Martínez, Amando Moreno, David Ousted and Richard Sánchez.
Cleveland, Ousted and Sánchez are eligible to participate in the MLS Re-Entry Draft. The following players are eligible for the MLS Waiver Draft: Campos, Collier, Gaitán, Katai, Martínez and Moreno.
Forward Nemanja Nikoliu0107 is out of contract and defender Bastian Schweinsteiger announced his retirement on Oct.
