Chicago Fire Acquire Brazilian U-20 Defender Rodrigo Ramos on Loan

CHICAGO (Feb. 3, 2016) – The Chicago Fire announced Wednesday that the club has acquired defender Rodrigo Ramos on loan from Brazilian Série A side Coritiba. Ramos will be added to the Fire roster upon receipt of his ITC and P1 Visa.

“Rodrigo is a dynamic outside back with lots of range," said Chicago Fire general manager Nelson Rodríguez. "He can cover the flank and gets into the attack consistently well.”

A Brazilian youth international, Ramos made two appearances in the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup. The Seleção U-20’s reached the final where they fell to Fire head coach Veljko Paunovic and Serbia in extra time.
