The Chicago Fire Academy Under-15 and Under-17 sides were active over the weekend as the 2019 Generation adidas Cup Fall Regionals took place in Kansas City, Mo.
One of the premier competitive youth soccer tournaments in North America, the 13th edition of the tournament began with 25 MLS U-17 teams ad 24 MLS U-15 teams split across four groups. Both of the Fire sides got underway in Group B.
The U-17s ran through their first three matches of regionals, finishing the weekend a perfect 3-0-0 with zero goals allowed. Alex Monis and Brian Gutierrez helped power the side to a 2-0 day one victory over the Seattle Sounders on Friday, Oct.
