The Chicago Fire U-16 and U-18 teams got off to a winning start in the 2016 U.S. Soccer Development Academy Playoffs on Wednesday night. Both sides opened up their respective group play with victories over Floridian opponents.

The U-16s took on Striker FC out of Fort Lauderdale in their Group E opener and were paced by goals from Victor Bezerra and Anthony Markanich in a 2-0 shutout.
