Given how the Fire have been the past few years, you could forgive the fans— and the Hot Time crew— for giving in to despair ahead of tonight’s clash with New England. In years past, the players wouldn’t be able to shake off the recent losses and tonight would’ve been three in a row. Instead, the Fire manhandled the Revs, controlling the game throughout and securing an emphatic 4-1 win. Not bad for a game in which neither Nikolic or Accam got on the scoreboard. All the goalscorers tonight don’t usually get on the statsheet, and all deserve credit for some heroic efforts.
