The Chicago Fire’s USL affiliate Tulsa Roughnecks FC continued their strong start to the season Saturday, defeating Houston Dynamo affiliate Rio Grande Valley FC 1-0 on a cold, rainy night in Tulsa.
Fire loanee Joey Calistri followed up an impressive performance in the Rougnecks’ opening game of the season with an equally strong display Saturday. The former Northwestern Wildcat scored his first goal of the season in the 31st minute, a goal that proved to be the winner.
Now there are a couple of things that make this goal from Calistri special. First, it was his first goal with Tulsa—that’s always something to celebrate.
