Blackhawks prospects college season preview: Dylan Sikura will have everyone's attention as a senior

Scoring a season-opening 10 goals is a good way to remind Dylan Sikura his offensive talents won’t go to waste with the Blackhawks.
But more than the output Thursday night, what interested Sikura as he watched the Blackhawks’ season opener was who was in their lineup. Sikura took note that 19-year-old rookie Alex DeBrincat and 22-year-old John Hayden were among coach Joel Quenneville’s inclusions.
A year from now, the 22-year-old Sikura is hopeful he puts himself in that same spot as a first-year pro.
“I think it’s pretty cool you see how they use their young guys right away and they’re not afraid to put them in situations, put them with guys who are future Hall of Famers, [Patrick] Kane and [Jonathan] Toews and guys like that,” Sikura said by phone this week.
