Andre Reynolds II starts as MLS Homegrown team beat Chivas Under-20s in penalty shootout

After his addition to the roster was announced last Wednesday, Chicago Fire defender Andre Reynolds II was given the starting nod in Tuesday's 2019 MLS Homegrown Game, a penalty shootout victory against the Chivas de Guadalajara Under-20 team.

Reynolds put in a 45-minute shift at left back, before being replaced by Colorado Rapids defender Sam Vines as the entire starting XI was rotated to begin the second half. Omir Fernandez of the New York Red Bulls and Toronto FC's Noble Okello provided the goals for the MLS Homegrowns as the sides finished level at 2-2 after 90 minutes, before San Jose goalkeeper JT Marcinkowski made a pair of stops to help the Homegrowns earn a 3-2 shootout win.
