The Chicago Red Stars announced a partnerhip with NBC Sports Chicago today that will air all 23 of the Red Stars matches in 2019.
In a media press release, Red Stars owner Arnim Whisler said, “we are very pleased to join the NBC Sports Chicago programming line-up this season and that pro women’s sports will be on television and easy to find.”
NWSL is a 9 team league with talks of expansion going on for years now. Through that time, FC Kansas City relocated to Utah and Boston Breakers have ceased operations. With a team like Sky Blue FC playing in New Jersey, the Red Stars are one of the few teams operating in a sports saturated city.
