Yu Darvish donates profits from YouTube channel to honor late brother-in-law

Add another reason to the list of reasons Cubs fans love Yu Darvish.

Darvish has an extensive YouTube following (487,000 subscribers) and made $43,000 off the channel last November. According to Japanese outlet Nikkan Sports, the Cubs righty is donating all proceeds in honor of his brother-in-law, who died from cancer in September 2018.

Half the money will go to the National Cancer Center and the other to NPO Little Ones, which supports single mothers in Japan, according to the report.

Following a bounce back 2019 season on the mound, Darvish became quite the social media celebrity this offseason.
