CHICAGO -- A minor injury will keep reliever Carl Edwards Jr. off the Cubs' 25-man roster for the National League Wild Card Game, but the team decided Pedro Strop was healthy enough to be included in the bullpen for the one-game showdown tonight against the Rockies.
The Cubs play host to the Rockies at Wrigley Field and the winner will face the Brewers in the NL Division Series, starting Thursday at Miller Park. The loser will go home.
Edwards experienced some right forearm soreness after Sunday's game and was going to test his arm on Tuesday.
