I don’t have to tell you how bad the start to Kyle Hendricks’ season has been. You’ve seen him throw, you have seen the numbers, it’s been awful, worse than Kyle’s usual rough start to seasons. Somehow, the Cubs managed to win one of his five outings.
So what’s going to happen next?
One thing I can tell you will NOT happen is “DFA!” as I have heard some people yell. That’s just lazy. First of all, a DFA (“designated for assignment”) is something used when a player, most likely the 40th guy on the 40-man roster, is no longer needed and the team needs that 40-man roster spot.
