Wilson Contreras has been on a tear lately and it may well be due to an adjustment he recently made at the plate. So far in the second half of the season (that’s post-All-Star break to you and me) he’s hitting an impressive .409/.458/.818 with two home runs.
Today, in his first at-bat in the bottom of the first inning, he launched a two-run shot over the left field wall for his 14th home run of the year, giving the Cubs a 2-0 lead.
