It’s a historic day in the Vatican as Cardinal Robert Prevost was elected the Pope by the Conclave who have been sequestered in the Sistine Chapel since yesterday. Prevost took the name Pope Leo XIV, which is presumed to be an homage to his prioritization of social justice issues, fitting for a man who spent most of his ministry working with the poor, migrants and marginalized populations in Peru.
