'The game humbled him': How former White Sox first baseman Andrew Vaughn rejuvenated his career with Brewers

No one could have expected that former White Sox first baseman Andrew Vaughn would be making an impact in the playoffs.

Not after batting .189/.218/.314 with a .531 OPS over his first 48 games. Not after being sent to Triple-A Charlotte Knights. Not after struggling with the Knights before being traded to the Brewers in June for Aaron Civale.

In 2024, Vaughn was playing on a 121-loss White Sox team. Now he finds himself contributing in the National League Division Series on a Brewers team that finished with the best record in the sport (97-65).
