Saturday is a day off for the Cubs and Joe Maddon’s team will spend it in Anaheim. The Cubs have one more exhibition game on the spring schedule, Sunday afternoon (2:05pm CDT) against the Angels, before the season opener on Monday night (9:05pm CDT) at The Big A.
The Cubs set the Opening Day roster Tuesday but have not made the necessary moves to officially start the season. The Cubs have until 11:00am CDT on Sunday to place Javier Baez, Christian Villanueva and Dallas Beeler on the disabled list. Plus, the Cubs have not optioned Aaron Brooks to Iowa.
