The Daily CCO: Close Games Not Going Cubs Way, Jason Heyward Update

For the second night in a row, the Cubs lost a game that was decided by one-run. The Cardinals walked off the Cubs and sent Joe Maddon’s team to its third straight loss, the first three-game losing streak for the Cubs this season.

Last year the Cubs were 34-21 in games decided by one-run. The Cubs are 5-6 in one-run games this season, dropping each of the last four one-run games (0-4). The Cubs last six losses have been decided by two runs or less and dating back to May 1, seven of the Cubs eight losses have been decided by two runs or less.
