You don’t have to go back too far to find the Cubs’ franchise record for team home runs in a season.
It’s 256, set six years ago in 2019. That year, the Cubs had six players with 20 or more home runs and Kyle Schwarber hit 38. Schwarber and Kris Bryant (39 in 2016) are the only Cubs to hit that many homers since Aramis Ramirez hit 38 in 2006, and no Cubs player has hit 40 since Derrek Lee’s 46-homer barrage in 2005.
That might change this year.
The Cubs have hit 46 home runs in 32 games, an average of 1.
