The Cubs will have 61 players in spring camp when it opens next week, the entire 40-man roster plus 21 non-roster invitees, as announced Wednesday afternoon. Here I present my annual numerical list of all players and members of the coaching staff who’ll appear in camp.
As always, I’ve included the Cubs’ retired numbers so you can see the complete numerical progression, as well as the coaching staff. Non-roster players in italics.
A couple of numerical notes: Craig Kimbrel, who wore No. 24 last year, has returned to his previous No. 46 that he wore in Boston, San Diego and Atlanta.
