Six hours before the first pitch of Game 3 of the World Series, StubHub, the leading reseller of tickets stopped the sale of tickets.
The move caused those selling tickets and those looking to buy as the game approached to scramble to other sites such as GameTime and Vivid Seats.
In the first two hours after tickets were pulled and were pushed to the other sites, the get-in price went from $1,690 to $1,290, a drop of nearly 24 percent.
