The biggest lingering question of the offseason free agent market has finally been answered, and that’s: Who will sign Alex Bregman? The three biggest contenders were our own Cubs, the Detroit Tigers, and the Boston Red Sox. Despite a reportedly large offer from the Tigers, it was the Red Sox who won out and signed the former Astros third baseman.
The Red Sox signed Bregman to a three-year contract for $120 million.
Now that the last major piece of off the board and all the pitchers and catchers have reported, with full squads to report late next week, we can really start to get excited for the 2025 season!
