Buckle up, BCB readers, we’re in for quite the links post today. As I unfortunately predicted on Monday, tensions continue to mount between the two sides of baseball: owners and players, and an incredible gaffe by Rob Manfred on Monday resulted in a near-meltdown of baseball Twitter.
Reactions to Manfred switching from being 100 percent certain of a season to not 100 percent certain in the span of two days have created a mass of ridicule, player outcry, and fans who are ready to scrap the season (and some who think the sport itself is in jeopardy).
It has been quite a week so far and we’re only at the halfway mark, so let’s just jump into it.
