Outside The Confines: Francisco Lindor has found a new home

It has been a foregone conclusion this offseason that the Cleveland Baseball Team wanted to move its superstar shortstop Francisco Lindor. The question was not if but rather where. On Thursday afternoon, the question was finally answered.

Making good on his promise to get Mets fans something nice from the store, team owner Steve Cohen ponied up for not just Lindor but also Carlos Carrasco. Carrasco — affectionately known as “Cookie” — is a recent cancer survivor who has been with Cleveland for his entire 11 season career, which is notable because it means he has 5-and-10 refusal rights but opted not to decline his trade.
