Major League Baseball announced the Cubs will open the 2016 season in Los Angeles against the Angels on Monday, April 4. First pitch of the Cubs 2016 season is set for 9:05pm CDT and the game will be televised on ESPN 2.
The 2016 MLB season begins Sunday, April 3 and concludes on Sunday, Oct. 2. For the second consecutive year, all games played on the final scheduled day of the regular season (Oct. 2) will begin at 2:00pm CDT.
