You know, I was actually hoping the White Sox would beat the Brewers on Sunday. Not just because it would help the Cubs in the NL Central standings, but because the last thing the Cubs should want is to host a team on an 11-game losing streak.
Sigh. Sox lost Sunday, their 11th in a row. Hope the Cubs don’t get into the trap series mindset. The White Sox franchise record losing streak is 13, set 100 years ago in 1924. The manager of the Sox for most of that year was former Cubs hero Johnny Evers.
