From today through Aug. 6 — that’s a total of 19 days in which they’ll play 18 games — the Cubs will not have to get on their usual chartered plane.
In that span they will play 12 games at Wrigley Field, three on the South Side of Chicago and three in Milwaukee, and for the latter series they’ll take a bus ride.
So right now would be a great time for the Cubs to start putting distance between themselves and the rest of the NL Central, starting with this three-game set against the Boston Red Sox.
