Today is John Baker Day or, more colloquially, “The Night The Backup Catcher Got the Win.” For the past five years, Baker, Ivy Envy, and Son Ranto, along with support from may other Chicago-based blogs and podcasts, have celebrated this infamous night in Cubs history by throwing a party and raising money for charity. This year, due to the unusual circumstances of 2020, we are doing much more.
