Nationals Reportedly Planning to Interview Cubs GM Carter Hawkins

The Washington Nationals fired Mike Rizzo, the general manager who led the team to a World Series title in 2019, back in July. This happened just before the draft, in which the Nationals held the first overall pick. Mike DeBartolo, who has worked in the organization for over a decade, took over as the interim GM. Bob Nightengale has reported that the Nationals are beginning their search for a permanent replacement, with one of the main candidates being Carter Hawkins.
