It really wasn’t a very eventful week for the Cubs. After the weekend split with the Cardinals, the Cubs had Monday off, presumably so they could give Wrigley Field a good hosing down. Then, in no particular order, a few things happened:
• The Cubs put their No. 3 starter and former closer/current setup man on the disabled list
• They recalled two pitchers you’ve never heard of from Triple-A.
• Tommy La Stella decided to get back to playing baseball, was sent to Tennessee and had to leave the first game when he got hit in the foot with a pitch.
