MLB suspends Cubs reliever Ryan Tepera and manager David Ross following Brewers incident

Cubs reliever Ryan Tepera has received a three-game suspension, MLB announced on Thursday after throwing a pitch behind Brewers’ starter Brandon Woodruff in Tuesday’s 3-2 win. Tepera was also fined by the league and will appeal his suspension.

Manager David Ross received a one-game game suspension and will serve it on Friday when the Cubs will face the Atlanta Braves. Bench coach Andy Green will serve as interim manager.

Woodruff hit catcher Willson Contreras in the fourth inning of Tuesday’s game, the fourth time he’s been hit by a Milwaukee pitcher this season, including being hit in the head on April 6.
