Minor Leaguer Chambers suspended 50 games

CHICAGO -- The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced Tuesday that Cubs Minor League outfielder Adron Chambers was one of three players suspended after violating the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

Chambers received a 50-game suspension without pay following a second positive test for a drug of abuse in violation of the Program. Chambers was on Triple-A Iowa's roster. The suspension will be effective at the start of the 2016 season.
