Here we are at another holiday break, and as we talked about on the last pod, there really is no incentive for teams and players to sign early, so that’s why we’ve only really seen relievers go off the board so far. For the Cubs, they should probably sign Bregman, or possibly the remaining Japanese guys (Okamoto and Imai), or trade Shaw or somebody for pitching. I doubt we see much before the new year, so in the meantime, happy holidays to everyone and let’s see what happens next.
