The Kyle Tucker saga has reached a boiling point in recent days, what with Owen Caissie immediately emerging as a key lineup contributor in the Cubs' sweep of the August 19 doubleheader against the Brewers.
It's been well-documented at this point that Tucker, who injured a finger on his right hand back on June 1, hasn't been the same since that injury. Before sustaining that injury on a failed stolen base attempt, Tucker was hitting .284/.394/.524. Since then, he’s hitting .236/.352/.368.
Kyle Tucker left today's game with a jammed right ring finger.
