The 2016 Cubs Convention takes off tonight at 6 p.m. And for a pleasant trip down last year's convention, we dug through our archives and found Len Kasper predicting a wild fortune for Jake Arrieta.
When introducing the Cubs starting pitcher, the Cubs TV announcer convincingly exclaimed, "this guy is going to throw a no-hitter this year....Jake Arrieta!"
And guess what? As we all know... he DID.
Arrieta pitched a no-hitter against the Los Angeles Dodgers on August 30th, throwing 12 strikeouts in 116 pitches and walking just one batter in nine innings.
Who knew Kasper had such a knack for forseeing the future?
