The slump of Kyle Tucker has been one of the main topics of conversation for the Chicago Cubs since the start of July, and while there were signs over the weekend that Tucker was ready to break out and return to form, Sunday was an ugly scene at Wrigley Field.
Tucker went hitless in 4 plate appearances during the Cubs' 4-3 win over the Pirates. In the sixth inning of Sunday's contest, Tucker hit a ground ball to the Pirates' first baseman Spencer Horwitz. Short of Horwitz not fielding the ball cleanly, it was clear that Tucker was going to be out.
