Kris Bryant’s right oblique feeling better, but Cubs won’t rush him back

Third baseman Kris Bryant was out of the lineup on Tuesday after suffering right oblique tightness during the Cubs’ 5-0 win over the Pirates on Monday.

Bryant received treatment on the oblique on Tuesday and was feeling better, according to manager David Ross, but said the third baseman would be unavailable.

“He feels better today, which is good news to me,” Ross said before Tuesday’s game. “I think there’s still stiffness in there. The oblique area is a real unique injury, having had it. You’re only going to feel it under real strenuous activity.
