Kris Bryant takes first Chicago batting practice in Chicago River

Tuesday was an off day for the Cubs, but not really.

While Kyle Schwarber made an appearance at Macy’s downtown, and Javy Baez had a street named after him in Humboldt Park, Kris Bryant did what he does best: crushing baseballs.

The National League MVP took batting practice, his first in Chicago this season since rain cancelled Monday’s BP, at River West, a new office building on the Chicago River, in an event for Red Bull.

“I was just trying to figure out where they wanted to do it, because I’ve never been in this area over here,” Bryant said.
