Kris Bryant out of Cubs lineup on Tuesday, receives injection to treat nagging left wrist

The injuries continue to pile up for the Cubs and star third baseman Kris Bryant is among the team’s walking wounded as he battles a variety of injuries.

Bryant’s most recent ailment, in his left wrist, has bothered him since he jammed it while attempting to make a diving catch while playing left field against Cleveland on Aug. 12.

While Bryant has stayed in the lineup amid the wrist injury, he was not in the lineup against the Cardinals on Tuesday. The Cubs’ third baseman received an injection in the left wrist. Manager David Ross said before Tuesday’s game against St.
