Perhaps “King Tuck” is a more appropriate nickname than we thought.
Kyle Tucker is good at baseball, hence the “King” portion. And everyone calls him, “Tuck,” which kind of sounds like “Tut.” That seems to be all that was needed to whip up the moniker.
But Tucker, now a Cubs outfielder, got some props from a teammate that reveal that maybe “King Tuck” is truly Arthurian, after all.
“He walks more than he strikes out, and he hits for power,” third baseman Matt Shaw told the Sun-Times on Saturday.
