Cubs President of Baseball Operations Jed Hoyer is in the last year of a five-year contract signed to run the Cubs baseball ops department back in 2021.
Today, Cubs Chairman Tom Ricketts did what appeared inevitable, given the Cubs position in the standings:
Jed Hoyer receives a multi year extension with the Cubs, per source. His contract was up after this season. The Cubs are currently tied for first place.
