James McCann is using Ben Zobrist's barn to practice hitting during quarantine

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought people together — figuratively, of course, with social distancing measures in place — and that includes the two sides of the Crosstown rivalry helping each other out.

White Sox catcher James McCann has been quarantining with his family outside Nashville, and like many other players, he's tried to stay in shape to be ready for baseball's return.

And he's getting some help from a former Cub.

"I've been able to hit and throw and work out to a certain degree, thankfully," McCann explained during a Friday conference call. "Here in Tennessee, facilities are shut down and all non-essential businesses are shut down completely.
