The Iowa Cubs were cast out by the St. Paul Saints (Twins), 4-3.
The Saints scored three runs in the first inning and another one in the second off of starter Luis Lugo, and that was all the runs the Saints would need. Two of the three runs in the first inning scored on bases-loaded hit batsmen.
The final line on Lugo was four runs on five hits over 2.1 innings. One of the four runs was unearned. Lugo struck out three, walked three and hit two batters.
