I am easy to shop for at Christmas time. There are things that I will always be happy to receive and one of those is another book. This Christmas, I received a copy of David Halberstam’s modern classic, THE TEAMMATES. It’s about the friendship between Ted Williams, Dom DiMaggio, Bobby Doerr and Johnny Pesky. It came out in 2003, I believe, and I have always meant to read it. Now I will.
A few weeks ago, I got around to reading another classic that had been on my reading list: Don Dellilo’s wonderful PAFKO AT THE WALL.
