The Cubs made several roster moves official on Thursday afternoon prior to the first of five with the Cardinals.
The Cubs placed RHP Brandon Morrow on the 10-day disabled list, retroactive to July 16, with right biceps inflammation. With Morrow on the shelf again, the front office figures to step up the Cubs pursuit of LHP Zach Britton.
RHP Anthony Bass was activated from the 10-day DL.
