Cubs Claim RHP Conor Mullee Off Waivers from Yankees … LHP Giovanni Soto Off Waivers by A’s
While the Cubs were busy taking on the Cleveland Indians and winning The World Series, the front office made two roster moves.
The Cubs claimed RHP Conor Mullee off waivers from the New York Yankees. Mullee was officially placed on the 60-day DL on Wednesday. Mullee will be activated from the 60-day DL as soon as Saturday and be added to the 40-man roster.
The Cubs designated LHP Giovanni Soto for assignment in order to activate C/OF Kyle Schwarber from the 60-day DL in order for him to play in the Arizona Fall League.
