The Cubs made another roster move Thursday by announcing coming to terms on a one-year, non-guaranteed contract with LHP Xavier Cedeno.
Cedeno was added to the 40-man roster, which now stands at 40 players. RHP Kendall Graveman was moved to the 60-day injured list on Wednesday.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. But according to multiple reports, Cedeno’s deal includes a base salary of $900,000 that includes an incentives package worth $300,000.
Cedeno, 32, combined to go 2-0 with one save, 11 holds and a 2.43 ERA (nine earned runs in 33 1/3 innings) in 48 relief appearances between the Chicago White Sox and Milwaukee Brewers last season.
