The Cubs made three roster moves prior to Friday’s disappointing loss to the Reds. The Cubs activated RHP Carl Edwards Jr. from the 10-day disabled list. To make room on the 25-man roster for Edwards Jr., RHP Dillon Maples was optioned to Triple-A Iowa.
The Cubs officially activated LHP Rob Zastryzny from the DL and optioned the lefty to Iowa.
