Cubs activated LHP Brian Duensing from 10-Day DL, placed RHP Carl Edwards Jr. on bereavement list prior to Friday’s game with the Pirates
Prior to the first of three with the Pirates at Wrigley on Friday afternoon, the Cubs activated LHP Brian Duensing from the 10-day disabled list. Carl Edwards Jr. was placed on the bereavement list due to a death in his family.
Duensing began the year on the 10-day DL due to a lingering issue with his back (lower back tightness) that prevented him from preparing for the season during Spring Training.
