Cubs activate Anthony Rizzo from the 10-day disabled list … Option Efren Navarro to Triple-A Iowa
As expected, the Cubs activated 1B Anthony Rizzo from the 10-day DL prior to Tuesday’s game versus the Cardinals. Rizzo was set to come off the shelf Monday but the weather postponed the first of three with the Cardinals and the Cubs making the roster move.
To make room on the 25-man roster for Rizzo, INF/OF Efren Navarro was optioned to Triple-A Iowa.
Anthony Rizzo returned to the starting lineup and hit third for Joe Maddon on Tuesday.
